

Schwartz guided a Carly Tice shot over the crossbar in the 54 th minute. Talia Schwartz made a diving save on an Amanda Goulet shot in the 34 th minute.

Marissa Christy had a chance to give Sacred Heart the lead in the 16 th minute, but FDU goalkeeper Felicia Burr made the save on her shot on goal. It was the fastest goal the Pioneers have scored in 2015. DaSilva's assist was the first of her career. Parlato's goal was her second of the season. Sacred Heart will take on Robert Morris on Friday, October 9 at 12:30 p.m. The Pioneers go on the road next weekend for a pair of NEC games. SHU outshot FDU 8-2 in the second half, but came no closer than the final two-goal margin.

The Pioneers got back on the scoreboard in the 56 th minute as Dana Cosmedy fired home a goal off of a Lindsay Corallo cross, to make the score 4-2. Hoekstra scored her second goal of the game in the 27 th minute to put FDU up 4-1, a lead the Knights held through halftime. In the 18 th minute, the Knights went ahead 3-1 on a Jessi Reinhardt tally. Hoekstra found the net herself two minutes later, finishing off a run up the left side of the field to give the Knights a 2-1 lead. FDU (8-5-0, 2-0-0 NEC) tied the game in the 14 th minute as Elma Kolenovic knocked in the rebound of a Rachel Hoekstra shot. Sacred Heart (3-8-0, 0-2-0 NEC) scored 1:32 into the game when Alexis Parlato scored off of a Melanie DaSilva assist. – The Sacred Heart women's soccer team took the lead after two minutes Sunday against the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights at Campus Field, but FDU scored three times in a span of four minutes on its way to a 4-2 win.
